Based on history provided by the current private collection owner, this restored 1957 Ariel Square Four was purchased in 2011 during a San-Francisco CA Motorcycle show/event where it had won top awards. Since that time is has remained on static display within his private motorbike collection... Our Research: This 1957 Ariel Square Four 4G Mk II (frame #GM1079, engine #NML1062) is part of a total Mk II production of 3,828 units from 1953 to 1959, with an estimated 500–600 units produced in 1957. This figure is based on the model’s average annual output and the GM prefix’s position in the sequence. Manufactured at Plumstead, London, these hand-built bikes featured a 997cc four-cylinder engine, with GM1079 likely an early-to-mid 1957 example.
